jet는 jet engine 을 가진 제트 비행기를 의미하고, lag는 두 시점 사이의 시간 차이를 말한다.

jet lag은 시차로 인한 피로감을 뜻하며, 단순히 시차를 의미할 때는 time difference로 표현이 가능하다.

항공운임은 출발지에서 도착지까지의 항공운송의 대가로 승객에 의해 지불되는 요금으로 운임은 여행에 대한 조건, 규정, 제한 사항을 포함한다.

Sky scanner 나 Trip.com 처럼 이제는 OTA (Online Travel Agency)가 막강한 파워를 가지고 있다. 항공사들은 OTA 플랫폼 안에서 최상위 검색 노출을 위해 값싼 항공운임을 등록해야 한다. 물론 OTA 쪽에 수수료도 지불해야 한다.

✏️ Description (설명)

An exit/entry from an airport building to an aircraft or train or bus. Could for example be a boarding gate, arrival gate, departing gate, etc.

​

공항빌딩에서 항공기, 기차, 버스등으로 가는 출구 또는 입구를 뜻한다.

예로 boarding gate (탑승 게이트), arrival gate (도착 게이트), departing gate (출발 게이트) 등이 있다.

​

✈️ 추가 설명

출국을 할때 공항에 따라 단일 터미널인 경우도 있고, 복수의 터미널을 가진 곳도 있다.

예를 들어 인천공항의 경우 수속은 여객동에서 하더라도, 항공기는 탑승동으로 모노레일을 타고 건너가야 하는 경우도 있다.

국제선 40분전 마감을 딱 맞춰 탑승권을 받았다면, 면세품 인도를 할 경우에는 재빠르게 움직이는게 필요하다.

Last passenger paging을 할때 보면, 인도 받은 면세품을 들고 허겁지겁 뛰어 오는 손님들도 심심치 않게 볼 수 있다.

​

Boarding gate는 PBB인 곳과 remote spot인 곳 두가지로 나뉜다.

PBB (Passenger Boarding Bridge) 와 연결된 탑승구는 bridge를 통해서 항공기로 바로 입장이 가능하며,

remote spot에 항공기가 있을 경우에는 bus를 타고 탑승을 진행하기도 한다. (간혹 도보로 이동 가능한 공항도 있다.)

후쿠오카 공항(국내선)의 탑승구는 지하철 처럼 탑승권을 넣으면 입장이 가능한 방식이었는데 이런 프로세스도 나쁘지는 않은 것 같다.

보통 FBA (Free Baggage Allowance, 무료 수하물 허용량) 라고 하기도 한다. FBA 가 없는 항공권도 있으니, 항상 Ticket Condition을 잘 확인해야 한다.

​

​

참고로 allowance 에는 ‘허용량’ 이라는 뜻 외에도, ‘용돈’ 이라는 뜻도 있다.

When used for children and infant fares, this shall mean the child/infant must be accompanied by an adult paying an applicable adult fare or traveling at industry free or reduced fare tickets

소아와 유아의 항공료에 표현될때, 이 말은 소아/유아는 반드시 성인​ 요금 또는 무료/할인된 티켓을 구매한 성인에 의해 동반되어야 한다는 말을 의미 한다.

​

* Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. 14세 이하 어린이는 성인과 동행하여야 합니다.

✈️ 추가 설명

1. 소아/유아는 무조건 성인이 동행해야 하지만 소아의 경우 성인이 동반하지 못할 경우 UM 서비스를 신청할 수 있다.

​​
