공항에서 일하다 보면 주기적으로 “펑” 하는 굉음이 들리는데, 이것은 조류충돌을 대비하여 위험지역에서 새들을 몰아내기 위해 터트리는 자동폭음기 소리이다. 김해공항 공군 제5전술공수비행단의 조류퇴치반을 '배트(BAT·Bird Alert Team)' 라고 부른다.

항공에서 푸시백 (pushback)은 보통 공항 게이트에 주기되어 있는 항공기를 외부 동력을 이용해 뒤로 밀어내는 공항 절차이다. 푸시백은 pushback tractor 또는 pushback tug 이라고 불리는 특수 저상 차량에 의해 수행된다.

Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System. A digital datalink system for transmission of short, relatively simple messages between aircraft and ground stations.

ACARS는 Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System의 약자로 운항정보 교신시스템(항공기 통신 접속 알림 시스템)이다. 항공기와 지상간에 짧고 상대적으로 단순한 메세지의 전송을 위한 Digital Datalink 시스템이다


✈️ 추가 설명

1. ACARS 프로토콜은 ARINC에 의해 설계되었고, 1978년부터 활용 되었다.

2. (여객운송 입장에서는) 평시에는 ACARS로 Weight & Balance Loadsheet 정보도 전송하고, 긴급하게 하늘에 있는 항공기로 메세지를 보내야 할 경우 지상에서 바로 전문 발송이 가능하다.

3. 하지만 요즘은 기내 와이파이(데이터통신)가 되는 시대다. 전통적인 ACARS의 짧고 단순한 메세지의 전송이라는 용도 및 제약도 곧 없어지지 않을까 싶다.

원래 아라카르트(a la carte)는 프랑스 용어로 음식 메뉴의 각 코스가 각각 분리되어 가격을 지불하는 방식을 뜻한다. 전통적인 항공 산업에서는 항공권 안에 기내식, 수하물, 좌석배정등이 다 포함되어 있었다. 하지만 이제는 많은 항공사들이 항공권 가격은 낮추고, 해당 서비스들은 항목별로 유료화 하여 별도 판매를 하고 있다. 유상서비스는 단품 판매도 있고 복수의 서비스를 모아 묶음판매(bundle)를 하기도 한다. 이런 부가서비스를 영어로 Ancillary Service (부가 서비스) 라고 칭한다.

APRON은 공항에서 항공기에 대해 승객의 탑승과 하기, 화물의 탑재와 하기, 급유,  항공기 주기 또는 정비를 할 수 있도록 지정한 구역이다. Ramp와 동일한 의미이다.

일반인이라면 apron은 '앞치마'라는 뜻으로 더 가까울 것이다. 어떻게 해서 apron이 주기장을 뜻하게 되었는지는 여러가지 설이 있지만, 항공산업에서 활발한 활동을 했던 프랑스에서 사용했던 일부 항공용어가 영어로 넘어오며 오역이 되어 현재와 같이 표기되고 있다는 이야기도 있다. apron은 항공기 및 지상조업을 하는 차량들로 인해 소음이 상당하여 도보 진입시 형광조끼를 항상 착용하고, 이동간 주위를 잘 살펴 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 조심 해야 한다.

De-icing is the process of removing snow, ice or frost from a surface. Anti-icing is understood to be the application of chemicals that not only de-ice but also remain on a surface and continue to delay the reformation of ice for a certain period of time, or prevent adhesion of ice to make mechanical removal easier.

De-icing은 항공기 위의 눈, 얼음, 서리등을 제거하는 일련의 작업이다.

이전에도 '당연히' 항공기 탑승시 신분의 증명은 필요했으나, 달라진 신분증 규정을 확인하여 공항에서 우왕좌왕 하는 일이 없도록 사전에 잘 확인해야 한다.


복사본, FAX, 사진 촬영본 등의 사본은 원천적으로 인정되지 않으며, 어린이나 고령자를 포함하여 항공기를 이용하는 모든 손님은 신분증명 서류를 반드시 소지해야 한다.

인증되는 신분증명서의 종류는 다음과 같다.


공항에서 생체정보를 등록할 경우 별도의 신분증을 지참할 필요가 없다. (만 7세 이상부터 등록이 가능하니 참고!)

정부가 인증하는 전자 신분증은 다음과 같이 3종류가 있다.

1) 정부 24앱
2) 모바일 운전면허
3) 모바일 공무원증

본인에게 편한 방식으로 사전에 유효 신분증을 잘 준비하여 즐거운 여행에 차질이 없도록 합시다. ^^
