A defined area on an airport intended to accommodate aircraft for loading or unloading of passengers or cargo, or for fueling, parking or maintenance. (Equivalent Term: Ramp)

APRON은 공항에서 항공기에 대해 승객의 탑승과 하기, 화물의 탑재와 하기, 급유,  항공기 주기 또는 정비를 할 수 있도록 지정한 구역이다. Ramp와 동일한 의미이다.

일반인이라면 apron은 '앞치마'라는 뜻으로 더 가까울 것이다. 어떻게 해서 apron이 주기장을 뜻하게 되었는지는 여러가지 설이 있지만, 항공산업에서 활발한 활동을 했던 프랑스에서 사용했던 일부 항공용어가 영어로 넘어오며 오역이 되어 현재와 같이 표기되고 있다는 이야기도 있다. apron은 항공기 및 지상조업을 하는 차량들로 인해 소음이 상당하여 도보 진입시 형광조끼를 항상 착용하고, 이동간 주위를 잘 살펴 안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 조심 해야 한다.

Belt loaders are vehicles with conveyor belts for unloading and loading of baggage and cargo onto aircraft. A belt loader is positioned at the door sill of an aircraft hold (baggage compartment) during operation.

벨트로더는 승객의 수하물이나 화물을 컨베이어 벨트를 통해 항공기로 탑재 또는 하기하는 장비이다. 벨트 로더는 항공기 화물 적재 칸의 문 아래에 위치하다.

✈️ Viewpoint of Airliner (종사자의 이야기)

벨트 로더는 지상조업장비 (GSE, Ground Support Equipment) 중 하나이다. 항공기까지 가져온 승객들의 수하물을 벨트 로더에 있는 컨베이어를 통해 항공기 화물칸으로 올려 보내면, 항공기 화물칸에 먼저 들어가 있는 탑재 담당 직원이 손님들의 가방을 하나씩 받아 화물칸에 차곡차곡 적재한다. 항공사에서 가방 하나의 무게를 제한 (통상 최대 32KG) 하는 이유도 운송 과정에 투입되는 인적자원들의 안전을 지키기 위함이다.

■ 정의

AIRIMP has been developed by the Member airlines of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Air Transport Association of America (ATA) for the purpose of establishing standard methods of communicating with each other when making interline reservations. These procedures apply whether mechanical or computerized reservations systems are used and ensure uniformity, accuracy and economy.

 

AIRIMP는 ATA 와 IATA 멤버들에 의해 고안 되었다. Interline 예약시 항공사 또는 여행사 예약 시스템간 일관성, 정확성, 경제성을 고려한 표준 포맷이며, 여행과 관련된 승객의 각종 정보를 약어로 표기하여 예약사항에 입력한다.

De-icing is the process of removing snow, ice or frost from a surface. Anti-icing is understood to be the application of chemicals that not only de-ice but also remain on a surface and continue to delay the reformation of ice for a certain period of time, or prevent adhesion of ice to make mechanical removal easier.

제방빙 작업

De-icing은 항공기 위의 눈, 얼음, 서리등을 제거하는 일련의 작업이다.
Anti-icing은 얼음을 제거하는 것 뿐만 아니라 일정 시간 동안 항공기 동체에 얼음의 재형성 시간을 지연 시키거나 얼음이 기체에 덜 달라붙게 만들어 제방빙 작업이 쉽게 가능하도록 화학약품 처리를 하는 것이다.

28일 부터 비행기 탈 때 신분증 꼭 준비하세요.

#44. 항공기 탑승시 인정되는 국내선 유효 신분증의 종류


1월 28일부터 항공기 불법탑승 및 테러방지를 위해 신분확인에 관한 항공보안법이 시행 된다.

이전에도 '당연히' 항공기 탑승시 신분의 증명은 필요했으나, 달라진 신분증 규정을 확인하여 공항에서 우왕좌왕 하는 일이 없도록 사전에 잘 확인해야 한다.


복사본, FAX, 사진 촬영본 등의 사본은 원천적으로 인정되지 않으며, 어린이나 고령자를 포함하여 항공기를 이용하는 모든 손님은 신분증명 서류를 반드시 소지해야 한다.

인증되는 신분증명서의 종류는 다음과 같다.


공항에서 생체정보를 등록할 경우 별도의 신분증을 지참할 필요가 없다. (만 7세 이상부터 등록이 가능하니 참고!)

정부가 인증하는 전자 신분증은 다음과 같이 3종류가 있다.

1) 정부 24앱
2) 모바일 운전면허
3) 모바일 공무원증

본인에게 편한 방식으로 사전에 유효 신분증을 잘 준비하여 즐거운 여행에 차질이 없도록 합시다. ^^

#43. 대한민국 전자여행 허가제 (K-ETA)


2021년 9월 1일부터 대한민국 전자여행 허가제(K-ETA, Korea Electronic Travel Authorization)가 본격 시행 된다. K-ETA는 대한민국에 무사증(= 무비자)으로 입국이 가능한 외국인이 한국행 항공편에 수속하기 전 사전 허가를 받는 제도이다.

예시) 나의 일본인 친구 A는 대한민국에 무비자 입국(관광 목적)이 가능하여 비행기 티켓만 있으면 탑승 수속이 가능했지만, 9월 1일 부터는 최소 24시간 전에 사전 여행 허가(K-ETA)를 받아야 한다. (수수료 1만원)

Skyscanner는 OTA, Neflix는 OTT, 응급약은 OTC



요즘 많은 사람들이 가격비교 사이트에서 항공권 티켓을 구매한다.

이러한 (항공권) 가격비교사이트를 온라인 여행사(OTA, Online Travel Agency)라고 부른다.

OTA 는 고도화된 온라인 시스템을 기반으로 항공권 및 호텔등의 가격을 비교하여 제공하고, 소비자가 선택 구매가 가능하도록 플랫폼을 제공한다.

하지만 OTA에서 구매한 항공권으로 손님이 피해를 보거나 불편을 겪는 경우도 발생한다.

공식적으로 계약되지 않은 일부 해외 OTA에서 항공사의 최저가 할인율이 적용된 항공권을 불법적으로 수집하여 판매하거나,

무료수하물 제공 유무등 부가서비스 정책에 대한 정확한 고지가 되지 않아 손님들이 피해를 받는 경우가 많다.

이런것들에 대해 손님들은 항공사에다 불만을 토로한다.
해외 OTA는 우리의 연락을 받지 않는다.
소비자는 OTA 서비스 이용시, 해당 플랫폼의 이용약관에 대한 확인도 필요하다.
인터넷 최저가의 맹신은 금물이다.

오늘 (2021/01/07, 목요일) 제주공항에는 많은 눈이 내렸다.

활주로 제설작업으로 인해 활주로 폐쇄 노탐(NOTAM)이 발부되었고, 그로 인해 많은 항공편들이 결항 되었다.

제주공항 강설

계속된 강설 및 활주로 제설 작업으로  울산에서 제주로 향했던 항공편은 결국 제주공항에 내리지 못하고 김해공항으로 회항을 하였다.

김해공항에서 울산까지 버스 3대를 대절해서 준비했지만, 승객들의 불만이 없을리가 없다.
그와중에 고생이 많다고 다독여 주는 손님들도 계신다.

항공여행시 유효여권과 비자의 준비는 기본이다.

여기에 더해 코로나 시대의 항공은 개인방역에 대한 정보 제공이 필수가 되었다.

중국에 입국하는 모든 사람 (중국인 + 외국인) 은 건강 QR 코드를 발급받아야 한다. 건강 QR 코드는 1) PCR 검사와 2) 혈청 IgM 항체 검사 정보를 입력하여 발급 받을 수 있다. (두번의 검사를 받아야 함)

대한민국은  ‘21년 1월 8일 부터 대한민국으로 입국하는 모든 외국인에 대해 PCR 음성확인서 제출이 의무화 된다.  

지난주 한 손님은 PCR 및 혈청 검사는 제대로 하셨는데, 코로나로 인한 바뀐 유효비자 규정을 인지하지 못하여 카운터에서 탑승수속이 거절 되었다.

일어나니 창밖은 맑은 햇살 대신 커다란 커튼이 하늘에 드리워진 듯 붉고 어둑어둑하다.

안개(해무), 바람(강풍), 비...

오늘 김해공항은 국내선 총 운항편 183편 중에 73편이 결항 됐다. 김포에서 부산을 거쳐 중국행 비행기에 탑승 예정이던 60여분의 손님과 체험비행에 참여 예정이었던 학생들이 탑승한 김포발 항공기도 김해공항에 착륙을 하지 못하고 김포로 되돌아 갔다.

방금 제주발 김포행 마지막 항공기가 이륙을 했다.
이 항공기는 기상으로 인한 누적된 연결 지연으로 김포가 아닌 인천공항에 밤 12시가 다되어 랜딩을 할 예정이다.

많은 것들이 어그러지고, 많은 손님들이 불편함을 느낀 하루였다.
